Natural Bio-Feeds: How We Keep Our Soil Alive

On our farms, we believe that healthy vegetables start with healthy soil. That’s why we feed our fields only with natural bio-feeds — simple, traditional preparations that farmers have relied on for generations. These are not chemicals. They are living mixtures made from cow-based inputs, leaves, fruits, and natural materials that our soil loves.

Each bio-feed plays a special role: one brings good microbes, another strengthens the plant, another keeps pests away. Together, they help us grow clean, safe vegetables without harming the land.

Jeevamrutham – The Soil’s Daily Dose of Life

Jeevamrutham is a gentle that fills the soil with beneficial microbes Think of it as a natural probiotic for the earth. It improves soil fertility, helps plants absorb nutrients, and keeps the crop healthy from seed to harvest.

Panchagavya – The Plant Strengthener

Panchagavya is a fermented blend made from cow-based ingredients and natural additives. Farmers use it like a wellness tonic for plants. It helps the crop grow stronger, stay greener, and fight off disease naturally.

Egg Amino Acid – Natural Protein for Plants

This simple preparation, made by fermenting eggs with jaggery, works like a protein boost during flowering and fruiting. It helps fruits grow better in size, color, and shine — naturally, without chemicals.

Fish Amino Acid – A Gentle Growth Booster

Made by fermenting fish waste with jaggery, this feed is full of minerals and amino acids. It supports vigorous plant growth and improves the natural flavor of vegetables.

Biochar – Food and Shelter for Soil Life

Biochar is made by slowly burning crop waste. When added to soil, it acts like a sponge — holding moisture, storing nutrients, and giving tiny soil organisms a place to live. This means the soil stays fertile and plants stay hydrated for longer.

Neem astram, Darshaparni, Agniastram - Nature’s Own Pest Protection

Instead of chemical pesticides, we use neem astram and simple herbal preparations made from leaves, spices, and local plants. They gently keep pests away while protecting beneficial insects. The result is vegetables that grow naturally, without residues.

Panta Sanjeevini – Our Farmers’ Signature Mix

Prepared using FYM, silt, five types of leaves, and Trichoderma, this blend brings life back to the soil. It strengthens roots, prevents disease, and supports healthy plant growth from the ground up.

Why Our Farmers Choose Natural Farming

Across our villages, more and more farmers are shifting to Natural Farming. This change is not just about growing crops differently — it is about protecting their soil, their families, and the people who eat their food. For our farmers, Natural Farming is a path that brings dignity, lower risk, healthier harvests, and a deeper connection with the land they depend on.

1. To Heal and Protect Their Soil

Farmers know that soil is their biggest asset.

Years of chemical use had hardened the soil, reduced earthworms, and weakened natural fertility Natural Farming helps reverse this damage by using:

  • Jeevamrutham
  • Panchagavya
  • Biochar
  • Mulching
  • Mixed cropping

These practices bring back soil microbes, improve structure, and increase water-holding capacity. Farmers often say the soil “feels alive again.”

2. To Reduce Costs and Dependence

Chemical farming requires high spending on fertilizers, pesticides, labour, and repeated external inputs.

With Natural Farming, most materials come from the farm itself — cow dung, urine, leaves, silt, and plant residues.

This leads to:

  • Lower cultivation costs
  • Reduced dependence on markets
  • Better profits
  • Less debt and risk

For small and marginal farmers, this financial freedom is life-changing

3. To Grow Food Safe Enough for Their Own Families

Farmers also consume the vegetables they grow, and many shifted to Natural Farming after understanding the harmful residues left behind by chemical sprays.

By avoiding chemical fertilizers and pesticides, they grow vegetables that are:

  • Safe
  • Clean
  • Free from harmful residues
  • Better for their children and elders

This gives farmers confidence and peace of mind.

4. To Protect the Environment

Natural Farming works with nature, not against it.

It naturally:

  • Reduces soil and water pollution
  • Improves soil structure and water retention
  • Encourages earthworms, birds, bees, and beneficial insects
  • Keeps the ecosystem balanced without harming biodiversity

Farmers visibly notice these improvements season after season.

5. To Produce Nutrient-Dense, Tasty Vegetables

Vegetables grown in living, microbe-rich soil are more flavorful and nutritious. Because plants grow at a natural pace, they absorb minerals and micronutrients effectively.

This results in:

  • Higher vitamins and antioxidants
  • Authentic natural taste
  • Better aroma and freshness
  • Longer shelf life

Consumers regularly tell us they can “feel the difference.”

6. To Earn Trusted Certification — PGS GREEN-2

Our farmers follow strict natural farming standards and are part of the Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) a community-based organic certification recognized by the Government of India.

They have been awarded PGS GREEN-2 certification, which means:

  • Their farms follow chemical-free practices
  • Their produce meets natural farming standards
  • Their fields are regularly monitored and peer-reviewed
  • Consumers can trust the authenticity of their vegetables

This certification gives farmers pride and gives consumers confidence that the vegetables they buy are genuinely safe and naturally grown.

7. To Build a Sustainable Future

Farmers want their land to remain fertile for the next generation. Natural Farming helps them protect their soil, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and grow food in harmony with nature.

It strengthens:

  • Soil fertility
  • Climate resilience
  • Family health
  • Community well-being

For many, Natural Farming is no longer just a method — it is their identity

In Simple Words

Our farmers choose Natural Farming because it gives them healthier soil, lower costs, safer food, and a cleaner environment.

With PGS GREEN-2 certification, they proudly offer vegetables that are genuinely natural, trustworthy, and good for your family.

Natural Farming is more than cultivation. It is a commitment to healthier people, stronger communities, and a greener planet.
